PACT: Introduction to Embrace Therapy Services

The presentation will include an introduction to Embrace Therapy Services and the types of therapy they offer  (Recreational, Aquatic, and Pet Therapy); examples of how the program could be implemented to meet Celebration Company’s goals such as supporting physical activity and community engagement; a walk-through of how sessions  could be structured; and an open Q&A and feedback from the team.

Rokeiya Adams is the founder of Embrace Therapy services. She graduated from Jackson State University in 2013 with a degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Shortly after graduating, she began working in the field and achieved national certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist. In 2016, she moved to Houston and pursued a career in Therapeutic Recreation as an independent contractor. With a client-focused approach, she enjoys brightening others’ lives, fostering inclusivity, and creating a work environment that offers guidance and resources to others in the field.

‍This monthly meeting is open to parents and caregivers who have a family member with a disability. It provides a forum to exchange information with one another, offer support, and learn about new resources.
