1. Volunteers Delivering Rosh Hashana Meals to JFS Clients, Tuesday Morning October 1st

The Tuesday before Rosh Hashana will be the day our Alexander JFS volunteers will pick up meals and deliver them to the homes of JFS clients (October 1st). It’s a great way to start the New Year and the volunteer opportunity is open to new volunteers as well as those who have helped in past years. All drivers need to have an active volunteer profile on the Alexander JFS volunteer portal. All drivers also need a current passing HIPAA quiz. A link to the portal is provided next.

2. Volunteers Creating Jewish New Year Greeting Cards for Alexander JFS Clients, Due Friday, September 20th

Please help Alexander JFS by creating some New Year Cards for Rosh Hashana. These cards will be added to the holiday food packages as a warm greeting for the new year. We will also provide cards to hospital patients. Having a handmade card makes the holiday gift from Alexander JFS so personal to the folks who receive them. You provide the supplies and drop off the cards when completed to Alexander JFS. This is a great family project or project for people who like the flexibility of doing volunteer work on their own schedule. We will need at least 150 cards! To be involved, please register as a volunteer and sign up to make the cards. No HIPAA quiz needed. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Instructions will be provided.
