In honor of Alexander Jewish Family Service's 80th anniversary (1993), the foundation launched the Family First Fund to offer unrestricted funds annually to support the programs and services of Alexander JFS.
The Family First Fund was designed to offer unrestricted funds annually to support the programs and services of Alexander JFS. This allows the agency to direct the funds "where needed most", in particular to maintain the core services for which fees or grants do not cover the service delivery cost. In honor of the 100th Anniversary of the agency (2013), families came forward to give Family First funds in honor of the centennial.
The goal of the Houston Jewish Family Foundation is to build this fund substantially in order to give flexibility to both maintain core services and also respond to unexpected emerging needs.
In addition to gifts in wills, many supporters to Alexander JFS supplement their annual support to the agency with an annual gift into the Family First Fund to represent their long term commitment to the community.
If you have any questions concerning a gift to Houston Jewish Family Foundation , please contact Rachel Davis (rdavis@alexanderjfs.org), Development Consultant, at (713) 986-7806.
